Required project details are confirmed before issue. The WPS only includes ranges supported by the applicable basis and available records.
Basis and project review
Preparation basis: AWS D1.1/D1.1M:2025 base edition with the July 28, 2026 base-edition errata. AMD1 is not included. Contract requirements and any required project or Engineer acceptance remain part of your project review.
What if my existing PQR may apply, but the records are incomplete?
Missing or unclear records are identified for resolution before the preparation route is confirmed. A gap in the available information does not by itself establish that new qualification is required.
What does “complete WPS” mean here?
One English procedure document with the agreed welding conditions and supported ranges. It is prepared from the confirmed project inputs and the applicable prequalified basis or existing qualification records.
