Prequalified WPS

Table 5.5 tolerances maintain the written WPS: amperage ±10%, voltage ±15%, travel speed ±25%, non-amperage-controlled wire-feed speed ±10%; shielding gas flow +50%/-25%. Numeric checks apply only where Table 5.5 lists the variable for that process.

PQR-qualified WPS

Table 6.6 triggers: amperage ±10% SAW/GMAW/FCAW and ±25% GTAW; voltage ±7% SAW/GMAW/FCAW; travel speed ±15% SAW / ±25% GMAW-FCAW / ±50% GTAW; non-amperage-controlled wire feed ±10%; gas flow >+50%/-20% for GMAW/FCAW-G/GTAW. Process-specific rows/footnotes apply.
